There's an intangible attribute to a versatile DJ who has the ability to have total crowd control whether playing high-energy festival sets, head bobbing hip-hop performances, or even high-end corporate events. This is where Dash, one of the quickest up and coming DJs in Las Vegas, sets himself apart. He began DJ'ing in his college town of Raleigh, North Carolina, where he hastily became one of the city’s most requested DJs for his ability to cater to the college crowd and, “play what the people wanted to hear”.
Shortly after his quick success in Raleigh, he was introduced to Grammy Award Winning producer 9th Wonder where he spent a summer studying production techniques and sharpening his DJ'ing skills. Dash learned under 9th Wonder that, “DJ'ing isn’t just a set in front of a crowd, it’s a performance, and you’re putting on a show for the entire time you’re in front of the crowd”. With that information Dash began to sell out every major venue he played in the Raleigh/Durham area. Realizing there was a ceiling on the success and exposure he could acquire Dash moved to Las Vegas.
Soon after he had the opportunity to meet DJ Vice. Enjoying Dash's eclectic style Vice made him the first official resident DJ in his retail store, CRSVR. This allowed Dash even more opportunities such as opening for DJ Vice at his Vice on Ice event on the rooftop of Cosmopolitan and inside the premier nightclub, Marquee.
Having acquired the total package for the ability to spin commercial, house, and hip-hop genres Dash found himself with multiple appearances at venues such as;
Hakkasan Nightclub inside MGM Grand playing with Lil Jon, Omnia Nightclub inside
Caesar's Palace playing with Rev Run of Run DMC, and Jewel Nightclub in the
Aria Hotel performing with Jamie Foxx.
Fast forward to today where DJ Dash has been a Wynn Nightlife Resident DJ (4 years) performing at Wynn Field Club inside of Allegiant Stadium. Also opening for acts such as Diplo, Drake, and Marshmello, at XS and Encore Beach Club.
With such success in such a short period of time it’s hard to argue that Dash was born to make you move your feet but if you ask him, he’ll say, “I just play the music that makes me dance, I’m just lucky everyone else feels the same”.
